6 Makeup Hacks that will simplify your life
Makeup can be so expensive! And the fact that we are currently in a global recession does not make things any easier. For some of us, makeup is the last thing we can splurge on right now. Here are some handy tips that I use when I need to get ready in a hurry or when I want to save some money.

Use your lipstick as a blush
I bet you didn’t know this, but your lipstick does not only have to go on your lips! You can use it as a substitute for a cream blush. Put a small amount of your favourite creamy lipstick on your cheeks and gently rub it in your cheeks to give you that rosy, cheeky look.
Concealer will never let you down
If you are in a big hurry and just don’t have time for applying foundation, skip it and just apply concealer on the spots that needs some coverage. You will look super natural but still fresh and ready for the day. Just make sure you blend it well.

Use highlighter on your eyelids
You can make your eyes pop by simply putting your highlighter on in the middle of your eyelids. It has the exact same effect as shimmer eyeshadow and thus you don’t have to spend double money on eyeshadow products.
Use bronzer as an eyeshadow
So this is something I only recently started doing, but did you know that you can use your face bronzer as an eyeshadow? You should try it! I promise you it works so well especially if you want to create a bronze, glowy look. Sometimes I wonder why I even buy eyeshadow palettes if I can just use my bronzer?!? Just kidding, I love a good eyeshadow palette, but if you need to save some money, this trick will definitely work in your favour.

Mascara & colourful lips = magic
Want to look put together without having to spend hours in front of the mirror? A bright, colourful lipstick will immediately brighten your face and features. Always apply mascara to round off your look. You will look super chic in minutes.
No brushes? No problem!
Good brushes and beauty blenders can be pretty expensive, but can I tell you a secret? Your fingers work just as well to blend your products onto your face. Just make sure your hands are always clean before you apply any makeup to your face.

Let’s face it, life can become really tough… and sometimes all you want to do is buy yourself some sparkly new makeup to make yourself feel better.
